(KMZA)--The law license of a Seneca attorney has been suspended.
The Kansas Supreme Court Friday suspended the license of Susan Bowman for 12 months over allegations of misconduct in the handling of an estate.
A Supreme Court spokeswoman says Bowman may be reinstated to practice law after six months, provided she completes certain requirements. If she is reinstated, she will be allowed to practice while on probation for an additional 24 months.
In September of last year, the office of the Disciplinary Administrator filed a formal complaint against Bowman alleging violations of the Kansas Rules of Professional conduct.
A state disciplinary panel determined Bowman mishandled the estate of Tyson Langdon who died in a car accident in October 2008 at the age of 22. Bowman had been appointed as administrator of the estate and guardian ad litem for his minor child.
Bowman has served as an attorney since 1987.
