(KAIR)--Kids have been the victims of bullies for generations, and unfortunately, this trend is one the rise. Joshua Snyder, who works with USD 377 as the Safe Schools, Healthy Kids Director says that bullying is there in the schools, and it is noticed. social media sites such as twitter and facebook has made it easier for bullies to harass other kids. Technology has been the key component in the increase in bullying incidents in recent years.
Since bullying can manifest itself in a variety of different ways, Snyder believes that there is no one clear definition. He says that for example, one child may consider being called a name bullying, while another may consider being struck being bullied. The state defines it in a law in that it has to be a pervasive issue that effects the school environment.
He goes on to say that the most important thing a bullied student can do is to make sure someone at the school, in addition to their parents knows about the situation, so it can be stopped.
