(KAIR)--Atchison city officials are notifying residents that some may experience some lower than usual water pressure in the next day or so, due to some construction being conducted on the city's water system.
According to a press release from the city, the construction project will bring in the two million gallon above ground storage tank into the city's water system. Because of this, a portion of a large water main that supplies water to the south end of the city must be relocated.
The connection process will start Thursday morning at 3:00 and will take 12 to 14 hours to complete. During this time, customers may notice a slight change in pressure and flow until the work is complete.
The city apologizes for any inconvenience, and thanks customers for their patience as they work to improve the system.
Customers can call the city helpline at 913-367-5561 with any questions or concerns.
