(KLZA) -- The body found in the Missouri River approximately two miles upstream from the Peru Boat Dock this past weekend still has not been identified according to the latest release from the Nemaha County, Nebraska Sheriff’s Department.
An autopsy is being conducted on the body.
Sunday afternoon people fishing in the area discovered the body of the white male along the bank of the river.
Nebraska and Iowa officials are working on the investigation along with the Nemaha County, Nebraska Sheriff’s Department.
