(KLZA) The Falls City, City Council approved a resolution to execute documents concerning an owner occupied rehabilitation program between the City and Nebraska Department of Economic Development.
Falls City has received a $310,000 CDBG grant to rehabilitate homes of owners meeting the income guidelines.
Council members also voted unanimously to approved on first reading an ordinance allowing contractors or owners having obtained a building or demolition permit to leave detached trailers or dumpsters on the street at the site provided it is properly marked.
Several requests to rent Prichard Auditorium and allow alcohol to be sold were also approved.
Approval of Jake Cochran to the Falls City Volunteer Fire Department was approved. The Fire Department asked to wait on the proposed appointment of Derek Olberding until the Department is able to complete all requirements for appointment.
