(KMZA)--Details are made public regarding a weekend traffic crash that caused no injuries but landed a Whiting man in jail.
It happened in Wetmore Saturday, and according to Nemaha County authorities, a Kansas Highway Patrol Trooper arrived on the scene following the report of a two vehicle wreck.
It was at the scene that the trooper attempted to arrest 18-year-old Lasten Kranz for driving under the influence. Instead, Kranz decided to run, leading to a short foot chase. The trooper caught him, and along with DUI, Kranz was booked into the Nemaha County Jail on charges including fleeing and eluding, obstruction, a registration violation, driving on a suspended driver's license and no liability insurance.
Arraignment is set for December 18th.
Kranz is currently free on bond.
