(KAIR)--Atchison county residents will soon start to notice a small, but very important change in county offices when they go to do things such as apply for a drivers license or pay taxes.
Atchison County Commission Chair Jeff Schuele says that work is progressing nicely on the software updates the commission has worked on for the past few months. The new software updates will be rolled out in stages over the next twelve months, with three systems going into effect before January 1st, which will have a huge impact on county systems.
Schuele says these new systems, once fully installed, will benefit the county and it's residents in a very big way. It will open up the ability for residents to conduct more business such as paying property taxes and searching for deeds online.
