(KLZA) -- Slick roads were responsible for several accidents in Auburn and Nemaha County, Nebraska over the weekend.
Only one accident resulted in injuries. Three people suffered possible but non-visible injuries a mile and a half north of Auburn on Highway 75.
Miquela Smith, 23, of Bellevue was southbound on Highway 75 and due to poor visibility hit the brakes on her Dodge Dakota pickup to slow down. Smith told the Nemaha County Deputy that her brakes locked and her pickup slid into the northbound lane of Highway 75 striking a Dodge Neon driven by Belmi Paacios-Lopez of Marshall, Minnesota. There were four people in the car. Both vehicles were totaled.
Three occupants of the car were transported by Auburn Rescue and the Peru Rescue Squad with possible injuries.
The accident occurred about 8:20 a-m Sunday morning.
