(KTNC) -- A hearing will be held next month on a request to lease part of the Falls City Armory Building.
Tom Townsend of Pro-Med asked Richardson County Commissioners for permission to rent or lease part of the Armory building for Pro-Med. Commissioners this week scheduled a hearing on the request for 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 14.
The hearing will allow any interested party to speak for or against the request to lease the building or raise issues regarding the fair market value of renting the property as the board determines.
The Armory building has been proposed as a possible location for a future Richardson County Jail and Law Enforcement Center.
In other business during a relatively short meeting Monday, Highway Superintendent Scott Huppert provided an update on routine road maintenance. Huppert said crews are helping to clean the County Shop and Yard in Falls City.
And Commissioners also adopted a resolution to set the mileage reimbursement rate for 2014.
