Two Incumbents File for Richardson Co Offices
01/09/2014

(KTNC) -- Candidates continue to file to run for various offices up for election this year in Richardson County.

The latest to file are two current Richardson County officeholders, who hope to retain their current positions.   Pam Scott will run for another four-year term as the Clerk of the District Court, and Austin Duerfeldt will run for a four-year term as Richardson County Treasurer. Duerfeldt was appointed to the position, so he will be running for election to the position for the first time this year.

Both Scott and Duerfeldt will be on the Republican ballot in the May 13 Primary.  They are the only candidates who have stepped forward to run for those positions thus far.

The filing period ends on February 18 for incumbents and March 3 for non-incumbents.
