(KAIR)--Atchison city officials are warning residents in the western end of town they may lose water service Wednesday while crews perform a practice shutdown of valves. According to a release from the city, this is being done in preparation for the new VFW pump station.
The same area, which includes Woodlawn to Pacific Road, 19th and Main south to 22nd and Service Road, including all of Forest Park, will also be affected next Monday when the contractor shuts down the valves to bring new pipes into the system. Crews will work quickly and efficiently to ensure that service is not interrupted for longer than it has to be.
