(KAIR)--An Atchison resident facing multiple drug charges has entered a guilty plea, thus avoiding a trial that was set for Tuesday. According to Atchison County Attorney Jerry Kuckleman, 34-year-old Abraham Green entered the plea Friday and a sentencing date has been set for February 14th.
Green was arrested September 18th after a vehicle he was a passenger in was stopped for a broken headlight. Upon investigation, officials discovered what appeared to be a small metal pipe with burned residue inside, along with several bags of what appeared to be methamphetamine. He was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, no drug tax stamp, felony and misdemeanor marijuana possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
