01/22/2014

(MSC News)--Kansas ranks 26th in the findings of a comprehensive study focused on freedom in all 50 states.

The study, conducted by the (Mur-KAY-tus) Mercatus Center at George Mason University, utilized a wide range of criteria, encompassing fiscal policy, regulatory policy and personal freedom, in ranking the states.

In compiling the results, the researchers weighted public polices according to the estimated costs that government restrictions on freedom impose on victims.

Missouri ranked 7th on the list while Nebraska was rated 22nd.

It would have been nice if the true source of this study was revealed- this group is funded by the ultra conservative billionaire Koch brothers, thus rendering it biased, and very contrary to actually caring about the majority of the citizens of our state. Instead of political propaganda, how about a little completely unbiased reporting for a change?
