St. Joseph Man Arrested After Two Vehicle Wreck
02/05/2014

(KAIR)--A Saint Joseph man, injured in a two vehicle collision Tuesday afternoon in Atchison, was arrested later that evening on several District Court warrants.

According to Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson, a 2005 Buick driven by 53-year-old Robert Johnson of Saint Joseph was north bound on Tenth Street when it was struck by a 2005 Dodge pickup truck traveling west bound on Commercial Street driven by 53-year-old Bobby Bonnell of Atchison.

Johnson's passenger, 38-year-old Jennifer Farris of Atchison, had to be extracated from the vehicle by the Atchison Fire Department. Both Farris and Johnson were transported to the Atchison hospital for treatment.

Wilson says that Johnson was released from the hospital several hours later and was taken into custody on District Court warrants for failure to appear, domestic battery, and giving worthless checks. He was also cited for failing to yield the right of way.
