(KNZA)--Circleville native Tyler Ahlgren’s journey on American Idol has come to an end.
Ahlgren was among nearly 30 Idol hopefuls eliminated during the group night competition Thursday evening as Hollywood week continued on the Fox TV series. He was part of a 4-member group that sang a rendition of Alex Clare’s “ Too Close”. Ahlgren seemed to take his elimination in stride.
The 2012 Jackson Heights graduate was selected to advance to the “Hollywood Week” competition during the tryout held in Omaha, Nebraska last August.
Ahlgren, who began playing drums at 5-years-old, has already achieved fame in the local region, performing in local venues as well as Manhattan's annual Country Stampede country music festival.
According to his website, tylerahlgren.com, he has already released two albums, Give It All and California Bound.
