Brown Co Commission Accepts Hay Bid

(KNZA)--The Brown County Commission during a short meeting Monday opened bids for the right to cut about 22 acres of brome hay at the county transfer station during the 2014 season.
The commission accepted a bid submitted by Dusty Gormley of rural Hiawatha for a total of $1601.   It was among two bids received.
In other business, the commission approved the 2014 local match appropriation to the Northeast Kansas Area Agency on Aging in the amount of $1,854.
 The commission will hold their regular meeting next week on Tuesday due to the President’s Day holiday on Monday.
