Mound City School Board Extends Principals Contracts
02/25/2014

(KLZA) -- The Mound City School Board last week conducted their annual classroom observation day.  Superintendent Ken Eaton explained Board members spend the morning viewing a number of classes going on throughout the school.

Following the morning observations the Board conducted the February Board meeting.  An executive session was conducted to discuss personnel matters.  Following the closed session the Mound City Board voted to extend the contracts of Elementary Principal Jan Seitz and Secondary Principal Korey Miles, adding a year to their contracts which now runs through the 2016-17 school year.

Superintendent Eaton said Mrs. Seitz reported on an intruder-training workshop held during a recent In-Service Day.  A Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputy who serves as a school resource officer there conducted the training which also included Holt County Sheriff Wedlock and two Missouri State Troopers.

Eaton also reported bids are being reviewed for resurfacing and repainting for the all-weather track at Ceglenski Field, which is eight years old.  He also provided information he had on the wind tower project proposed for Holt County, from meetings he has attended.
