(KNZA)--A Wathena man charged in a Doniphan County child sex case has been placed on probation.
Sonnie Suman was sentenced Wednesday in Doniphan County District Court on an amended charge of attempted aggravated indecent solicitation of a child. He was given a suspended 12-month prison sentence and placed on 24-months supervised probation on the felony charge.
Suman, who had originally been charged with aggravated indecent liberties with a child, pleaded no contest to the amended charge in January.
He was arrested in November 2012 following an investigation by the Wathena Police Department.
