(KAIR)--An Atchison man was taken into custody late Tuesday evening after what appears to be an accidental 911 call sent Atchison Police to his home. Police Chief Mike Wilson says that officials received the call for assistance and traced the call to a residence located in the 600 block of Parallel that happened to belong to a 23-year-old suspect wanted on several warrants.
Wilson says the warrants stemmed from an incident that allegedly took place late last month in the 900 block of North Tenth Street in Atchison. Joshua Sharp reportedly was in a vehicle with a 18-year-old female and a 22-year-old female when several crimes, including battery and sexual battery allegedly took place.
Wilson adds the two victims did know Sharp.
Sharp is facing two counts of battery and one count of sexual battery. He remains confined at the Atchison County Jail.
