(KAIR)--Kansas Medicaid has scheduled several Home Health meetings for a specific group of of KanCare members and their families, including one in Atchison. Members with chronic conditions such as diabetes, asthma, or mental illness are encouraged to attend.
According to a release from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, Home Health is scheduled to start under KanCare in July of this year. The program facilitates all services a person with a chronic condition may need. KanCare members can qualify for the program based on their specific health condition.
Two meetings will be held in Atchison Wednesday. The first will take place in the afternoon from 1:00-3:00 and and the evening meeting will be held from 6:00-8:00. Both meetings will be held in the Highland Community College Dining Room, located at 1501 Riley Street in Atchison. Members need only to attend one meeting.
The meeting is free, and those who qualify are encouraged to attend and learn about Home Health, as well as to ask any questions they may have about the program.
