(KNZA)--The new Executive Director of the Holton/Jackson County Chamber of Commerce is on the job.
Carolyn McKee begins her second week in the role, following her selection by the Chamber's Board of Directors. “I've lived in the community for 36 years, and I love my community, McKee tells MSC News. “I think Holton has a lot to offer in the future, and I'd like to see it progress and grow and maintain its uniqueness.”
McKee, who holds an associates degree from Highland Community College, is a familiar face in Holton. “I have worked as a stylist in Holton for over 25-years, I went to Holton High School, I worked at USD 336 for over 15-years in different positions. I also here recently did interior design for the local community.”
McKee says she has definite goals in mind for what she wants to accomplish in the Executive Director's role. However, she says it's too early to release the specifics, saying that at a later date she will reveal “new surprises” that will be happening in the Holton Community this year.
