(KNZA)--A young Hiawatha child was injured after falling from the second story window of a Hiawatha home.
It happened late Friday morning with local rescue crews rushing to the residence, located behind the Hiawatha Post Office.
Authorities say the child is around 10 months old, and was transported from the scene to the Hiawatha Community Hospital but later flown by helicopter to Kansas City's Children's Mercy Hospital.
Names are not yet made public.
The child's current condition remains unspecified.
