(KTNC) -- The deadline is approaching to purchase Nemaha NRD park entry permits at a discounted price.
The permits are required at Kirkman’s Cove near Humboldt, Iron Horse Trail Lake near DuBois, and Wirth Brothers Lake north of Tecumseh. They can be purchased for $10 through the end of March. Beginning April 1, the cost goes up to $12.
The permits, which are valid through December 31, may be purchased at the Nemaha NRD office in Tecumseh, or by calling the NRD at 402-335-3325. Permit applications can also be printed from the NRD’s website, or requested through the temporary permit envelopes at each park’s main entrance.
Applications postmarked before April 1 will receive the discount.
One duplicate permit for an additional vehicle can be purchased for $6, when purchased at the same time as the original, full-cost permit.
