(KAIR)--The victim of a Friday night shooting in Atchison has been released from hospitalized treatment.
Police identify the victim as 37-year-old Clifford Moss of Chicago. Moss sustained a non-life threatening shoulder wound after the shooting at the city's northside LFM Park. He was transported to the Atchison Hospital by private vehicle, and later transferred to Saint Joseph's Heartland Regional Medical Center.
Police responded to reports of gunfire at the park around 9:30 Friday night, but did not find anyone present when they arrived. Atchison Hospital staff alerted them a short time later that Moss had arrived seeking treatment.
Police Chief Mike Wilson says no arrests have been made at this time, but the investigation is continuing.
