(KAIR)--An arrest has been made in connection with a series of burglaries to Atchison businesses.
According to Police Chief Mike Wilson, a 17-year-old male was taken into custody Tuesday and charged with burglary and criminal damage to property in connection with the May 4th break in at Strong's Body Shop, located in the 100th block of South Eighth.
Wilson says the arrest is part of an investigation into a series of vehicle thefts and burglaries.
Police have connected this burglary with several of the vehicle thefts, and are working to see if there is a connection between the Strong burglary and the burglaries that took place at Maria's Mexican Restaurant and the Atchison Library earlier this month.
Police arrested two juveniles last week who allegedly took part in three of the five vehicle burglaries.
All cases remain under investigation.
