(KNZA)--An additional candidate has filed for the position of 1st District Jackson County Commissioner.
Steven Duryea, of Circleville, filed Friday by petition. Duryea joins two others, Rod Ladner and Bob McNicholas, in seeking the Republican nomination.
The position is currently held by Circleville Democrat Ed Kathrens who has filed for re-election to a second four-year term.
The position is the only Jackson County office up for election this fall. Candidates have until noon, June 2nd to file.
The primary election will be held August 5th, and the general election is November 4th.
