(KAIR)--Seeking to represent Kansas' Second District in the United States House of Representatives, Democratic candidate Margie Wakefield is planning a visit to Atchison Tuesday morning.
Wakefield, a Lawrence-based lawyer and a native of Saint Joseph, will hold a meet and greet at Paolucci's restaurant at 10:15.
Wakefield, running unopposed in the August 5th primary election, is the presumptive challenger of Republican incumbent U.S. Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins in the November 4th general election.
The event was originally scheduled to start at 10:30 in the basement of the Atchison library, but was moved to adhere to the library's policy of hosting events that do not favor one particular political party over another.
