(KAIR)-- Atchison city officials have recently been made aware of letters that have gone out to several homeowners asking them to purchase insurance for their water service line.
While the business offering this service is legit, City Manager Trey Cocking says the city is not participating with any of these companies offering this service, and urges everyone to exercise caution as they decide to take part in the offered service.
Cocking also advises residents to consult their homeowners insurance before making this kind of purchase.
