(KMZA)--1st District Nemaha County Commissioner Gary Scoby is being challenged in his bid for re-election.
Ernest Lukert, of Sabetha, filed by petition before Monday’s deadline to challenge Scoby for the Republican nomination during the August 5th primary election.
The winner of the Republican primary will face no Democratic opposition during the November general election.
The county commission position is the only Nemaha County office up for election this fall.
