(KNZA)-- A Holton man is in custody, arrested in connection with the aggravated burglary of a Holton residence early Monday morning.
Holton Police Chief Gale Gakle says the incident was reported around 4 o'clock when the residents of a home in the northeast portion of the community heard the family dog begin to bark. That's when they got up and discovered the intruder inside the home.
After being confronted, Gakle says the intruder left the home and was located about 2 hours later when police were notified that a suspicious person was standing in the back yard of a residence several blocks away.
Gakle says 46-year-old Marvin Lee Park was arrested on charges of aggravated burglary and interference with a law enforcement officer.
Park remains in the Jackson County Jail on $25,000 bond.
