(KNZA)-- It will be a 4-way race during the August 5th Republican primary election for 1st District Doniphan County Commissioner.
Highland resident Timothy Collins filed before Monday’s filing deadline for the position, joining three other Republican candidates in seeking the seat. The other candidates include Bill Becker, Matthew Dunn and H. James Ruhnke.
The winner of the Republican primary will face Democrat W. Brett Neibling, of Highland, in the November 4th general election.
The position is currently held by David Van Laar who didn’t seek re-election, and is the only Doniphan County office up for election this fall.
