(KMZA)--Construction has begun on a new building at the Nemaha County Fairgrounds in Seneca.
The old south fair building was torn down and a new 60-by-180 foot building is being constructed in it’s place.
The Nemaha County Commission last September accepted a bid from Steve Stallbaumer Construction, of Seneca, for just over $124,000 to construct the building.
This week, the Commission accepted a bid from Holthaus Electric, of Seneca, for the electric work for the new building at a cost of $13,642. It was among two bids opened at last week’s meeting.
The new building will be used by the county to store equipment and during the fair to exhibit animals.
It’s to be completed in time for this year’s fair, July 25th-28th.
