Kansas City Man Sentenced On Drug Charges
06/09/2014

(KAIR)--A Kansas City man has been sentenced to over a year of probation in connection with several drug related charges in an Atchison County case.

33-year-old Stanley Fleer appeared in Atchison County District Court Friday afternoon to hear his sentence on two separate cases.

Judge Martin Asher sentenced Fleer to eighteen months of supervised probation in each of the cases, with both to be served concurrently.

Fleer was arrested in early April after Atchison Police discovered methamphetamine in his possession after stopping his vehicle for having no tags present. Fleer was charged with possession of methamphetamine in that case, and was sentenced to to serve probation after pleading guilty to the charge.

However, he was arrested just hours after being released after when police discovered methamphetamine in his possession. He again plead guilty to a possession of methamphetamine charge.

Atchison County Attorney Jerry Kuckleman says it was decided to give Fleer a chance to serve his probation since he was only able to complete a few hours of the first probation sentence.
