LV County Crash Sends Driver to the Hospital

(KAIR)--An Easton woman escapes serious injury in an early Friday evening Leavenworth County crash.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reports that 49-year-old Kelly Herken was northbound on U.S. Highway 73 when her pick-up truck left the roadway for unknown reasons.
The truck then ran into the east ditch of the highway, colliding with a fence and tree.
Herken, who was wearing a seatbelt, suffered possible injuries and was transported to Leavenworth's Saint Luke's Cushing Hospital for treatment.
The crash happened shortly after 5:00, just north of Happy Hollow Road.
