(KNZA)--Bond for a Topeka man charged in the December rape and attempted murder of a Holton woman has been reduced from $500,000 to $300,000.
Jackson County District Court Judge Michael Ireland last Thursday granted a motion by the attorney for 35-year-old Filip Rosario for a bond reduction, with several conditions. If he’s released, among other things Rosario will have to wear an ankle bracelet and be on house arrest.
Rosario is charged with felony counts of attempted capital murder, two counts of aggravated criminal sodomy, two counts of rape, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated battery and criminal threat. A jury trial in the case is set to begin September 16th in Jackson County District Court.
Authorities say the crimes occurred on December 19th and 20th of last year. The victim was treated at a Topeka hospital for injuries and released.
Rosario remains in the Jackson County Jail.
