3% Raise Approved for Pawnee City Employees
06/25/2014

City Hall - Pawnee City

(KTNC)--Pawnee City employees will get a raise next year. The city council approved a three-percent salary increase for all employees on Monday night.
The vote was not unanimous. The motion was approved 3-1, with Councilman John Dahlgren voting against the increase.
Money for the three-percent pay raise was freed up after the council switched its health insurance provider. The city will save money by switching from Blue Cross Blue Shield to Co-opportunity health care.
The health insurance policy was approved last month.
In other action Monday night, the Pawnee City Council approved the Pawnee County Ag Society’s request for a special designated liquor license for the Pawnee County Fair.
