(KNZA)--A Sabetha man convicted on several felony drug charges has been sentenced to 4 years in prison.

Brown County Attorney Kevin Hill says 24-year-old Bradley Fields was sentenced Monday in Brown County District Court on charges of distribution of marijuana, conspiracy to distribute hydrocodone and arranging the sale of drugs with a communication device.

Fields pleaded no contest to the charges in April.  In exchange for the plea, several other drug charges were dismissed.

He was arrested last October following an investigation by the Brown County Sheriff’s Department.

In a separate case, Horton resident Glen Scotton was given a suspended prison sentence Monday on a charge of possession of hydrocodone with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a school and placed on 36 months supervised probation.

He had pleaded no contest to the felony charge in March.  In exchange for the plea, another drug charge was dismissed.

Scotton was among five adults and one juvenile arrested last October following the execution of a search warrant on a residence in the 1,000-block of Central Avenue in Horton.
