(KTNC)-- As plans continue to locate a museum honoring Falls City artist John Philip Falter at the former Richardson County Bank Building at the corner of 17th and Stone, people can adopt one of Falter’s “Saturday Evening Post” covers.
Falter painted 128 covers for the Saturday Evening Post magazine from 1943 to 1961. All the covers will be displayed at the Falter Museum, complete with identical wooden frames and archival glass.
For a $200 donation, people can “adopt” one of the Falter covers. Donors will be recognized at the museum and the donation can be made as a memorial.
Approximately 80 of the 128 covers are available to be adopted. Beginning Monday, covers still available for adopting can be viewed at the Falls City Library and Arts Center.
