(KAIR)--A Topeka man is facing several drug related charges in Atchison County after a District Court warrant was issued for his arrest, stemming from a February traffic stop near the intersection of U.S. 59 Highway and 14th Street in Atchison.
Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson says that 20-year-old Marc Hight was a passenger in the vehicle, when it was discovered there was suspected controlled substances in his possession. They were sent to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation lab for examination, where they were identified as marijuana and methamphetamine.
Wilsons says Hight was arrested last Thursday in Topeka and transported back to Atchison.
He is facing charges of possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Hight remains in the Atchison County Jail.
