For anyone who wants to learn more about the FSA county committee nomination and election processes, a brief informational meeting has been set for July 16, 2014 at the Brown County USDA Service Center.
The meeting is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. in the Service Center conference room at 1310 Oregon Street in Hiawatha, KS. Nomination forms and fact sheets will be provided and election criteria and policies will be discussed.
FSA began accepting nominations for qualified candidates on June 5 and continuing through August 1 for Brown County Local Administrative Area 3. Individuals may nominate themselves or others as a candidate.
In addition, organizations representing socially disadvantaged (minorities and women) groups may nominate candidates.
