Interstate 29 Work Begins Near Rock Port July 7th
07/04/2014

(KLZA)-- A resurfacing project on southbound Interstate 29 is set to begin Monday,  north of Rock Port, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation.

On July 7, contractors will begin building crossovers approximately one and one-half miles north of Rock Port and just south of Route B. One lane in each direction will be closed during the construction of the crossovers. Once all crossovers are constructed, traffic will be moved head to head in the northbound lanes. Motorists should be alert and follow all construction signs and message boards. The contractor anticipates that all work will be completed by September 1, 2014.

All work is weather permitting. MoDOT apologizes for any inconvenience that this necessary work may cause. MoDOT encourages all motorists to slow down, buckle up and drive safely through work zones to ensure everyone can Arrive Alive.
