(KTNC)--Mound City is taking bids for a street repair project.
The project includes repairs to Mill Street and the block of Grand Avenue between Mound and Nebraska Streets. Those streets have not been paved in several years and have several areas that need patching and maintenance work done.
McFadden Construction was to help get measurements and identify the exact locations that need to be repaired. Bid packets will be available at Mound City Hall.
Another long-discussed repair project is to begin this week. Darby Grace of Edge Contractors told Aldermen last week that he would begin repairs to the swimming pool basket house roof this week.
Aldermen approved a motion to extend the contract completion date for the project through 1:00 p.m. on August 1. They also approved a motion to pay a $7,250 invoice Grace submitted on July 21, provided that progress is made on construction.
