(KMZA)--The Nemaha Central USD 115 board of education held their first meeting of the new school year Monday evening.
The board approved for publication a proposed 2014-2015 budget of $11.3 million that calls for 2.2 mill property tax levy increase.
The budget contains an estimated tax rate of 41.13 mills, which is to raise nearly $2.5 million.
The board will consider adoption of the budget following a public hearing at their August 11th meeting.
Gary Niehues was re-elected board president for the 2014-2015 school year and Jason Hammes as vice-president.
