South Brown Co Schools Schedule Budget Meeting
07/16/2014

(KNZA)--Preparing for the new school year, the Board of Education for South Brown County's USD 430 accepts a teacher's resignation, while filling two vacancies.

That happened Monday evening, when the board, following an executive session, accepted the resignation of Horton High School science teacher Allison Bunck.

However, they followed that action by hiring Peter Muraski to serve as a science and biology teacher at the High School. They also approved the hiring of Janafer Chartier as an elementary and kindergarten teacher at Horton Elementary School.

During Monday evening's meeting, the board also scheduled a special meeting for the evening of July 28th. The focus of that 6:00 session will be placed on the discussion and review of the proposed 2014-2015 school budget.

Monday evening's meeting began with the adjournment of the 2013-2014 Board of Education.

Once that happened, Tim McClaskey was reappointed to the role of School Board President while Janice Crider was selected to serve at Vice-President.
