(KAIR)--Atchison County residents who wish to cast their vote in the August 5th primary election early, are now able to do so.
According to County Clerk Pauline Lee, the Clerk's Office is now open for advanced voting from now until noon on August 4th. Those who wish to vote, can walk in between the hours of 8:30am and 5:00pm Monday through Friday to cast their vote.
Lee adds that voters need to provide one form of government issued identification such as a drivers license, passport, a public assistance card, or a military ID in order to vote.
Advanced voting is available to registered Democrats or Republicans. Lee says that those who are unaffiliated with a party, can declare an affiliation at the time of voting.
Lee is also looking for registered voters in Atchison County to act as election workers during election day. Those interested in helping should contact her at 913-367-1653.
