(KNZA)--The city of Holton is proposing a 2015 budget that contains the same property tax levy as this year’s budget.
The budget calls for total expenditures of nearly $12.3 million, which represents a 19 percent increase over the 2014 budget. Included in the budget is funding for an estimated one-million dollars worth of capital improvements at the Holton Industrial Park.
The budget contains an estimated tax rate of 54.3 mills, with the amount of tax to be levied at nearly one million, 69-thousand dollars.
The Holton City Commission will consider adoption of the budget following a public hearing at their August 4th meeting.
