(KNZA)--Doniphan County will house inmates for Douglas County.
Doniphan County Sheriff Chad Clary presented the County Commission on Monday with an agreement for the housing of Douglas County inmates in the Doniphan County Jail, which commissioners approved.
Douglas County will be responsible for transporting their own inmates.
As of Monday, 15 local inmates were being housed in the Doniphan County Jail.
In other business, road foreman Galen Mitchell informed commissioners of the vandalism to county road equipment the night of August 1st at 245th and Randolph Roads.
A report has been filed with the Doniphan County Sheriff’s Department.
