(KLZA)-- An attempted traffic stop by Falls City Police Officer Jeremy Goldsberry ends up with one man in jail and another fleeing.
At about 10:30 p-m Thursday evening Officer Goldsberry attempted to stop a pickup. As he attempted to make the traffic stop, a passenger in the pickup jumped out and fled on foot. The person was later identified as Jeremy Kaster who is wanted on active warrants.
The driver of the pickup, 24-year old Brandon Fanders of Dawson stopped the pickup and was jailed on charges of possession of a controlled substance, believed to have been methamphetamine, child abuse, fleeing to avoid arrest and no operators license.
According to Assistant Chief Jamey Baker there was a 3-year old child in the pickup, which led to the child abuse charge. A female passenger in the pickup was not arrested.
Fanders is in the Richardson County Jail awaiting a court appearance.
