(KAIR)--An Atchison woman, facing several drug related charges has agreed to a plea deal.
23-year-old Marissa Vanwey appeared in Atchison County District Court Monday afternoon to enter a guilty plea to one count of selling methamphetamine, and one count of using a telecommunication device to facilitate a controlled substance transaction. In exchange for the plea, one count of distribution of a narcotic within 1,000 feet of a school was dropped.
Sentencing has been set for September 22nd.
Vanwey was arrested in July after a police investigation concluded that she facilitated the sale of methamphetamine from her apartment in late May.
