(KLZA)-- Longtime Falls City businessman Ken Kunce will be the Grand Marshall of the August 23rd Cobblestone Parade in Falls City.
Kunce was the owner of Ken’s Pharmacy, retired then came out of retirement to open Falls City Pharmacy and then the Radio Shack store in Falls City before retiring again. All the while he was a tireless community activist.
Kunce volunteered hours and dollars toward community services and program including the Senior Center, the Handi-bus and Meals on Wheels program. He also spent many hours helping to recruit doctors to join the medical community and was instrumental in the construction of the current Falls City Library and Arts Center.
Each year the grand marshal is selected by a vote of a committee of parade volunteers and community leaders brought together by parade director Lori Gottula who gathers the nominations.
